Presbyterian Church of Cameroon : ウィキペディア英語版 | Presbyterian Church of Cameroon The Presbyterian Church in Cameroon is a Reformed denomination in Cameroon, that adheres to the historic Westminster Confession of Faith. == History == The American Presbyterian Mission (since the 19th century) and the Basel Mission (since 1886) was active in Cameroon. The Americans established mission stations in Southern Cameroon and Batanga. In 1892 work started among Bulu people. Later the Mission recruited German-speaking missionaries. Stations were opened in Elat, Lolodorf, Metet, Foulassi, Yaundé, Bafia, Abong Mbang, Batouri and Momjepom. By 1894 the Bible and hymns was translated to Bulu language. It become autonomous in 1957, in these times there wer 69 000 members.〔http://www.reformiert-online.net/adressen/detail.php?id=12103&lg=eng〕 The church missionaries are active in the whole territory of the country. There are parishes in France, Switzerland and in the neighbouring Gabon. The church has 27 Presbyteries and 1,8 million members.
